Jack's pre-school |
| Laura and I recently had the opportunity to watch Jack's pre-school class rehearse for the end-of-semester graduation program. Workplace warning: includes video w/sound. |
We've found that church pre-schools offer the most professional, safest, and cleanest day care facilities with the best staff, and at great prices as well. The churches really take these programs seriously. We were really impressed with the teachers' enthusiasm and patience with the kids at Grace Baptist. For Jack's end-of-semester program, the class will recite the pledge of allegiance, as well as sing and dance to several songs. Unfortunately, we will be on vacation during the actual ceremony, so Laura arranged for us to watch the rehearsal instead. Here's a video of some of the best parts! You'll note that Jack resembles his Uncle Jim not only in appearance, but with other characteristics as well:

We'll have to wait until he's old enough to be assigned homework before we learn how much he favors his father.

It's certainly genetic. I turned in my thesis the night before my Mexico trip. Remember years ago Dad working on his book manuscript the night before we left on summer vacation... |

Cook and I don't think the 'ingratiating with the teacher' is so subtle.
